A Beta Testers Guide to Preparing for the Public Launch of Faunasphere

Posted on August 3, 2009 in Uncategorized
Will I lose all the work I have done on my Faunasphere?
No. Your Faunasphere, inventory, and the contents of both will remain.

Will I lose all my Fauna when we launch to the public?
You will be given the opportunity to become a Premium Member of Faunasphere if you wish to keep all your Fauna. You will only lose Fauna if you chose a membership level that allows you to care for fewer Fauna than you currently have. If you do not become a Premium Member of Faunasphere, the Fauna with the highest level will be the ones who remain. If you know you will not be subscribing, we advise you to release all but the Fauna you wish to keep prior to launch day.

What are the pricing plans for Faunasphere memberships?

You can read all about Premium Memberships here.

Will there be more Turquoise after launch?
Turquoise will not hold any value after today, August 3rd, aside from decoration. We do not have any plans to use Turquoise in future goals.

Will there be different servers to choose from in Faunasphere?
No, there will not be different servers to choose from when you log into Faunasphere. There may be separate "instances," however. For example, if a large number of players log in to the Rock Garden at one time and it starts to get crowded, a new Rock Garden will spawn for additional players. The Community Project will be the same, the pollution will be the same, and the goals and Marketplaces will be the same. The only difference between the various versions of the Rock Garden will be the Caretakers that are present there. This means that there may be times that you go to meet your friend in any given area of the game only to find they are not in that "instance." We have plans of implementing a tool in the future that will allow you to teleport to your friend so that you can still easily gather.

Will beta testers be able to purchase memberships before the game is opened to the public?
We will likely have the store available for a very short time prior to launch. However, we plan to allow our beta testers with 15 or 30 Fauna an extra week after launch to become a member before reducing their accounts.

How can I help newer players learn about Faunasphere?
First of all, the fact that you ask this question shows how amazing our Faunasphere community is! If you are interested in helping our newest community members learn their way around Faunasphere, simply set your “mentor” flag. This will tell the newer players that you are available to answer questions and give tours.

If I have a technical issue or question about memberships, how do I let Customer Support know?
You can submit a report by clicking on the help tab located at the top of the webpage. Our help articles have lots of useful answers about technical and game play issues. If you do not find the answer or direction you need in the help articles, click on “contact us” on the left hand side of the help webpage to ask a question.
